TRANSPORTATION
Traffic is one of our county’s biggest challenges, and I’m leading the effort to fix it. I spearheaded the county’s first Countywide Transportation Master Plan, bringing together all 39 cities, the county, the state, and the school board behind one blueprint. Now, it’s time to turn that blueprint into real results.
Marci will:
- Deliver the Transportation Master Plan—turn the blueprint into real road, transit, and safety improvements
- Expand safe routes to schools—building on the $3 million I secured for sidewalks, plus new signals and crosswalks
- Use smarter traffic management to relieve congestion on our most gridlocked corridors
AFFORDABILITY
Everything costs more these days, and county government shouldn’t make it worse. I will scrutinize every dollar and identify ways to save money while providing meaningful relief to our residents.
Marci will:
- Scrutinize every dollar of county spending—no automatic funding, no rubber stamps
- Expand the Homebuyer Match Program—up to $50,000 in matched down payment help for first-time workforce buyers, without taxpayer funds
- Protect the Housing Bond and demand accountability for every dollar spent on attainable housing
PUBLIC SAFETY
A safe community is the foundation of everything else. Our first responders work hard to keep us safe, and they deserve the resources, training, and support they need. Safety must keep pace with our county’s rapid growth.
Marci will:
- Fully support our Sheriff’s deputies, Fire Rescue, and first responders with the funding and equipment they need
- Strengthen hurricane and emergency preparedness so families are protected before, during, and after the storm
- Combat fraud and scams targeting our seniors—building on my AARP Fraud Awareness advocacy
RESPONSIBLE GROWTH
Growth must work for the people who already live here, not against them. I’ve voted against development lacking supporting infrastructure whenever legally possible. I ask the tough questions no matter who’s across the table, because I believe that roads, schools, water, and services need to come before any new rooftops.
Marci will:
- Keep infrastructure first: roads, schools, water, and services must come before new rooftops
- Defend the Comprehensive Plan, the Agricultural Reserve, and our public lands
- Hold mega-projects accountable: demanding answers on impacts to neighborhoods, the power grid, water, and the environment before any vote
- Preserve environmentally sensitive lands, balancing progress with conservation across Palm Beach County
